The facts of mind or consciousness were studied by the Indian thinkers with
as much care and attention as the facts of the outer world are studied by
our modern scientists.
- Dr. S. Radhakrishnan (Indian Philosophy-Volume 1)
A word of gratitude
I don’t know how to compensate for the immeasurable affection being bestowed up on me by my golden-penned senior fellow-writer Sri.C. Radhakrishnan. It is his loving pat that gives me courage to write.
Let me express my reverence to my teacher Prof. Mampuzha Kumaran for his care and guidance unlimited in my writing venture.
My embrace to my pal class-mate Prof. R. Jayaram for updating my scientific perception.
My heart-felt thanks to Sri. Raman P. Namboothiri (Director & Chief Artist, Black Swan, Thrissur.) for the stunning Book Design.
My love to Mrs. Daya Suresh Babu (my sister-in-law) for perfect proof-reading.
To Sri.K.B. Chandralal for cute Lay-out.
To my family and friends for support.
My pranamam (respectful obeisance) to my Ilayachan (father’s brother) Vidwan K.K.Vasu Master.

MY Childhood Reminiscence
I HAVE been writing poems and articles since my childhood.Also am reading books from our happyhome library since years.My beloved grandmother (father’s mother-Lakshmi her good name) was a Sanskrit scholar and it was she -let me pay homage to her with love and gratitude- who taught me that great Godly Language and introduced me to that wonderful Treasury of ancient Indian Knowledge; which is of course illuminating afresh and NASCENT even today at this Moment; sprouting and blossoming. I was continuing reading and writing during my school and college days.
My father, father’s brothers were all teachers. Father taught me English, Science and Mathematics. It was heKandangath Gangadharan Master- who bestowed everything he had on me and gave me this much strength to think; also to utilize the same in my humble capacity for the well being of my fellow beings. May I gratefully remember my Mother who was silently eloquent in nature. Though not much educated she was, I could gather so many practical knowledge of life from her. Those rays too would have played a prominent role in torching my writing. My Ilayachan (father’s brother) and Ilayamma are still healthy and active at the age of 95 and 85 to make me confident. Also above all my dear Pappan- Kandangath Narayanan and Chettan- Kandangath Ravendranadhan (I feel that he was and is with me from the moment of my birth) are thought of for their caressing pat during these years. My Std. 1. teacher- Anne Teacher- is there in my mind’s depth of greenery. Lastly but most significantly, the wide, deep and cute Vellattumkulam- (the good old Great Pond is dead now)- that inking my quill elegantly and profusely in engraving my “Nascent Poetry” is being thankfully reminisced.

The Query Eternal-Dr.k.g.balakrishnan kandangath 19-6-2014
============================================
Nascent Poetry-37
============================================
The Unsighted;
King Dhrutarashtra;
Queried:
'What they did,
Sannjaya!
The war-mongers? '

Here, the anxiety
Of the Blind Mind;
Exposed at Kurukshetra;
-The Truth;
-The Venue;
Of the Great War-
Ever fought;
To be fought;
And being fought;
Per quantum;
The Root;
Of
The Worry Perpetual
Of mankind;
-Result of the Adharma;
Being committed;
By human mind!

Thus
The opening verse- sloka-
Of Geetha;
The Query Eternal!
==========================
Note-
King Dhrutarashtra= Father of Kaurava
Adharma= Injustice
Geetha= Sreemad Bhagavadgeetha.

================================
THE BLISS OF BEING NOTHING!- C.RADHAKRISHNAN
================================
These poems are keys that open electric, magnetic, number, lever or any other kind of a lock. And
what does one find when the locks are opened, the gates give way and the vast landscape is entered?
The bliss of being to begin with, and then, slowly but surely, the bliss of being nothing!
What is that one may ask. The answer is there is no describing that state, except
through poetry because words of ordinary mutual correspondence fails to paint any
tangible picture or transfer any bit of a feel of any shade of it. And not all poetry
at that. Only just some. The mantras of the vedas are able to do it. Bavul lyrics and Rabindranath
Tagore’s lines too have occasionally succeeded. Some modern poets too have, of course, less often.
Why is it so rare? Because the perfect tuning of oneself with the universe is rare. It is not to be
designed; it has to happen, as flowers come to the tree. Spring in real terms is when this happens.
To get lost in one’s surroundings is rather easy, most of us manage to at least occasionally when we
are fortunate to be in a beautiful landscape of quiet ambience
of the dissolving kind. We are elated, dreaming while being awake lost though
firm on the ground, happy despite all our woes and pains. But even in this state, We
are very much there between the experience and the object providing it the bliss of
being depends upon the state of being. However, real bliss is when even this
intermediary existence dissolves out and only the experience of bliss remains.
This is when the senses are not needed to gather the experience, the mind is not
measuring it and the intellect is not qualifying and quantifying it. This is at the
point where time and space not only coalesce but vanish!
Dr Balakrishnan makes many a successful attempt to land in this territory and take the reader with
him. This is not easily done. It takes a lot of dhyana and tapa and ‘patient care’. To go after an
experience for oneself is much less in terms of ambition than taking the one following too to the
experience. A scientist may discern a certain truth and feel happy but he is doubly so if he can also
explain it to the one who has not had the good
fortune to come to it by himself. These poems are modern mantras. The attempt is to use as few
words as possible. Because a word has the habit of confusing unless built well into the structure. And
the structure is one all the time, just as the ocean is one and though
every wave is unique. The roar of the ocean is the combination of all songs sung
by the waves. This poet considers everybody a different wave. The poem becomes a different
experience for different singers. Even the very word may mean a different shade or hue or tone! But
all are attuned to the beauty of orchestration.
In India, classical evaluation of poetry is in terms of the vision encompassed by it
beneath its surface. Ananda Vardhana called it darshanadhwani. In the west the
test is the capability for emotification or evocation. These poems marry the Indian
tradition of poetry with the western. They move us and lead us on to the ultimate and
sublime experience of consummation - the best that can be achieved at the ripening of
the human condition.
I am sure these poems will make this world a better place to live in.

THE MULTITUDE- A POEM FROM "THE WAVES OF THE GANGA" BY DR. K.G .BALAKRISHNAN KANDANGATH

  THE MULTITUDE----DR.K.G.BALAKRISHNAN

                            “Their creation does not require the intervention of some
                      supernatural being or god. Rather, these multiple universes
                      arise naturally from physical law.”
                                                        -Stephen Hawking (The Grand Design).

                                     “The How is simple, but
                                     The Why is the Query”-
                                     Proclaimed the Rishi.
                                     This is That an’ That is This;
                                     That’s all.” He assured; “but
                                     It is Uni-Multi Continuum.”
                                     He underlined.

                                     At this nascent juncture,
                                     The Moment transcendent,
                                     Me the Poet perceive the tiniest,
                                     The near-nothingness, the nought-not
                                     Rather how it could be a cipher?
                                     For the Nil too the Arivu,
                                     As still the Space, the Poornam
                                     Where the zero is homed,
                                     Is perpetual, the apprehension.

                                     Concealed the Unitude in the Space,
                                     The Multitude in the Non-Dual,
                                     The uniqueness spells it self its glory;
                                     The Unlimit-ness of the micro an’ macro,
                                     The sanctum instant that amalgamates both,
                                     Are the entire saga bewildering.

                                     That was why the Rishi pronounced thus:
                                     “The Wheel is wheeling!”

                                      Yes, the winking note the microwave,
                                      Originates in space, plays the role,
                                      Reverberates an’ conceals itself
                                      In the Space the Truth.

THE INSANE- THE OPENING POEM OF "THE HUES OF THE HIMALAYA"- NEWLY RELEASED BOOK BY DR.K.G.BALAKRISHNAN (IN AUSTRALIA)-AN AMAZON PUBLICATION,AVAILABLE GLOBALLY.

The Insane
Who did fell the Great Tree?
Once bragging about the pillar;
Tall, strong, stout,
Eternal you were!
Thinking the Savior,
The Shade to the sufferer,
The enduring Protector,
You the celestial Singer!
From thy palm conjured
The breeze soothing;
Too the typhoon thy irk;
The mist the rain, the dew
Dropping as the moment new;
The spring blossoming;
The fragrant benevolence!
Who did fell the Bodhivriksha?
Is the fate?
All are sane but me.

THE DEATH-a poemfrommy newly released (amazon) book "THE HUES OF THE HIMALAYA"

The Death
The string the Long-ness,
I muse the Countless,
The Marvelous;
The drops synthesized,
The morrow-ness!
The reverberation,
The hue-collage,
I ponder,
The tunes sweetening,
The caressing,
Lukewarm breezing,
The loving innovation!
Here, the dot distant,
There, the moment
Far an’ stringent,
The inconstant,
The dynamic knot,
The naughty Naught!
Here the ephemeral,
The float,
The acting post;
The silent note,
The nil-ness eternal,
The jolt!
Here my offering
Pure, entire, full,
Golden-tinged,
Pulse-molded,
Delight!
O the speck!
Me Thy speck-ness;
How could I be
Not alone of Thee?

Avyayam- dr.k.g.balakrishnan kandangath- 2-5-2014

1. Avyayam- dr.k.g.balakrishnan
========================
Mom, prospect thine,
The Intuit intimate mine;
The sterling sparkling fine,
Virtuous noble colorless shine.

Soothing wave of the Ganga;
Fragrance noble care nearing;
The note tranquilizing, the Sreeraga;
The ecstatic breezing conjuring.

The smile, ever-haunting;
As the blossoming Spring;
Twinkling to be the Spell;
Being nothing, still an' nil.

Gone the yesterdays;
Dawning the morning rays;
The golden light is toning nice;
My lips hymning thy symphonic
Rhythmic magnetic rhymes.

Mom, the eternal silence thine,
Is the Beauty Absolute of mine;
The song of this tiny quantum time
Is sweet, sweeter the sweet most prime.

You the dream true pulsing in me;
You the drop of hope
For my thirstiness.

A thousand candles illuminating;
The brilliance blazing glittering;
The wheel wheeling;
But lengthening;
To the unending lightenig, thundering;
The magic realism;
The Full-Nil Swing!
